PREP

Today we were working in the textiles room working on our bags. On wednesday (teacher only day) we tie dyed the 13 bags we made. I am trying to make more bags before market day. We have got our posters, business cards, and tags.

Reflection, prep, 13.11.2020

Questions

How long does our product take to make? Well we took a video of Mrs Francis making a whole bag, it took around 6 mins. For us though, it might take a bit longer since we are beginners at sewing, so maybe about 10 mins.

How many parts to our product? We have inners, liners, and straps, so 3.

How long does each piece take? I'm not quite sure, maybe about 3 mins for each piece.

How have we ensured quality in the finish of our product? Just make them neat and sew them nicely.

How will our market stall look? We're not sure.

1. What went well today for you and your team?  Think about your teamwork, and your group’s product idea. We cut out our fabric enough for 18 bags, except we didn't get to sewing them today.

2. What was difficult?  Why do you think that was? For me, I found following Mrs Francis' instructions for how to sew the bags was kind of hard.

3. What are three new business terms you learnt today? I don't really know.

2. What was difficult?  Why do you think that was?  For me, it was kind of confusing when Mrs Francis was talking to us about how we could make our template for our bags.

3. What are three new business terms you learnt today? Timeline, prototype, and investor.

4. What do you need to work on in preparation for the PREP lessons next week? Sewing our bags, tye dying them.

Today I was learning about Jacobs ladder and how it works. I enjoyed playing with it. I found it challenging to observe it. My digital learning object shows I can take photos and predict. Next time I would change my observation.

Today I was learning about Smart Media, Evaluate currency, accuracy, reliability and purpose of online content. I enjoyed putting the phone in my hands. Who eats who?

Over the last couple of days, we have been working on this who eats who artwork with our group. The lion is the apex consumer, who eats the warthog. The warthog would be the secondary consumer, who eats the bark grubs, and berries. And the grubs are primary consumer. Last but not least the grass and the berries are the producers.

Netiquette

Today I was learning about Netiquette and being nice online. I enjoyed designing the google drawing. I found it challenging getting the title all rainbow (it took a while) My digital learning object shows I can insert images, put bullet points, and being safe online Next time I would change nothing.

Today I was learning about the power of words, and about how they can hurt just as much as sticks and stones. I enjoyed designing the slides. I found it challenging to find some of the pictures. My digital learning object shows I can use slides and get re-usuble images. Next time I would change the introduction slide.
